The Art of Humanizing
Complex Systems

One question has driven every chapter of my career: How do we make the complex accessible?

From environmental advocacy to biomedical research, I've learned that data only moves people when paired with a story they recognize. As founder of Aly Creative, The TBD Project, and creator of The Bayou Bounce, I bridge the gap between clinical science and the kitchen table β€” building the tools, from gamified literacy platforms to $2.5M funded research initiatives, that make health access a lived reality.

What This Site Is

TBDILLON is the digital home for Tyaisha Blount-Dillon's work in brain health literacy and community storytelling. It brings together The Bayou Bounce, an illustrated children's book for ages 6–12 and the adults who read with them; the Neuroseeds brain health curriculum for classrooms, clinics, and care partners; immersive empowerment retreats; and a growing library of free guides, research posters, and community stories.

It is built for families navigating a diagnosis, educators and clinicians looking for gentle ways to start hard conversations, and organizations advancing health equity in their communities. The work is created and maintained by Tyaisha Blount-Dillon, founder of Aly Creative and The TBD Project, whose career spans environmental advocacy, biomedical research, and culturally grounded public health programming.

Guiding Principles

What Drives the Work

1

Translate Complexity

The throughline of every initiative: turning clinical science, policy, and systems into stories and tools families can actually use.

2

Build for Scale

From grassroots grants to $2.5M federal funding β€” designing programs with the architecture to grow nationally.

3

Center the Community

Culturally grounded from day one. Because health access isn't a talking point β€” it's the design brief.
